As much as you probably don’t mind that I’ve missed two Words of the Day, I do. I created this blog for myself – motivation for learning.
On Friday, Pete and I saw Black Swan, preceded by dinner at Friendly’s. I had such a good time. The next morning, I had a realization like someone who woke up late on exam day. My blog!
When it came time to post on Saturday, I thought, ‘Well, I already missed yesterday, so why should I bother with today?’ I had a party yesterday and wanted to have ample planning time. Blogging wasn’t a priority.
Although I already justified myself, I feel like I’ve missed out on two days of expanding my vocabulary. I need to step up my motivation. I haven’t done any homework this week, I finally ordered my textbooks, and my weekend started with Wednesday’s basketball game.
I don’t want to give up fun because I have decided that this is going to be the most enjoyable semester. But I need to learn how to balance fun with learning. So I’m in the library, ready to start reading in preparation for class Tuesday.
